Privacy Policy
FollowThrough Health Privacy Policy
FollowThrough Health is a care navigation MVP. This policy explains what data may be collected, why it is used, and how users can request access or deletion.
Data We Collect
- Account details such as email, role, verification state, and login session records.
- Patient profile information entered by the user, such as name, region, conditions, allergies, medications, goals, diet style, and activity level.
- Uploaded reports and extracted report text when the user chooses to upload or paste health information.
- Consent records, audit events, subscription state, notification preferences, and deletion requests.
- Anonymous daily counts of a few actions (for example "a report was explained" or "the demo was started"). These counts contain no report text, no account and no IP address, and are not sent when your browser has Do Not Track turned on.
- Your answer to "Was this explanation helpful?" and any comment you choose to add. Comments are stored encrypted. Please leave out names and medical details.
- If you join early access: your email address (stored encrypted), who you are (for example a family caregiver) and an optional note. We use it only to contact you about FollowThrough Health early access, and you can ask to be removed at any time.
- If you use "Share with my doctor": the summary you choose to share, stored encrypted, with how many times the link was opened. You can turn a link off at any time; links also expire on their own.
- If you set medicine reminders: the times, who they are for and the reminder name, stored encrypted, plus whether each time was marked as taken. If you turn on phone calls, the phone number and the first name said on the call are stored encrypted, and the number is shared with our calling provider, Twilio, only to place the calls. The call never says what the medicine is. The person called can press 9 to stop the calls at any time.
- If you pay for a plan: your plan and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach FollowThrough Health.
Reports Read On Your Device
When you explain a report, FollowThrough Health reads it in your browser or app. The report is not uploaded unless you choose "Save to my account" or share it. Comparisons with your earlier reports ("What changed") are kept on your device.
Help Chat
When the online helper is switched on, your question (and, only if you tick the box, a summary of your latest result) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the answer. FollowThrough Health does not store the chat. Please leave out names and other identifying details.
No Training, No Selling
FollowThrough Health does not use your health information to train AI models, and does not sell or rent your information to anyone.
FollowThrough Health For Doctors (DocBridge)
Clinics using DocBridge add lab results so a clinician can approve a plain-English explanation for their patient. During the pilot, clinics may only add de-identified or sample labs, until a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement is signed. Lab values and explanations are stored encrypted, every view, edit and approval is recorded in an audit log, and labs are kept for 90 days unless the clinic's agreement says otherwise. A patient link shows only an explanation a named clinician approved.
How Data Is Used
- To create educational care summaries, habit plans, diet suggestions, and clinician-review workflows.
- To help users organize reports, medication notes, insurance guidance, and doctor questions.
- To secure accounts, verify email ownership, process password resets, and maintain audit history.
Storage And Security
FollowThrough Health is designed to store sensitive report files in private cloud storage, encrypt selected patient fields, avoid health data in logs, and keep audit trails for protected actions. No internet system can guarantee perfect security. Our security page lists the services that handle data and what we do if something goes wrong.
AI And Health Information
AI output may be incomplete or wrong. FollowThrough Health should be reviewed by qualified professionals before public healthcare use and should not be used as emergency care, diagnosis, cure, prescription, or a replacement for licensed medical judgment.
User Choices
- Users can request data export and deletion from the FollowThrough Health app.
- Users can avoid uploading reports and may paste only the text they choose to share.
- Users should contact FollowThrough Health support for privacy requests that cannot be completed in the app.
